Organization Background


Community Service Partners came together to share the resources and purchasing power of six nonprofit organizations with similar missions to support people with disabilities.  Community Service Partners is designed to coordinate and share administrative support functions such as information technology, staff training, human resources, financial management, case management and property management.  The members of Community Service Partners began planning this effort in June 2009 and became incorporated in June 2010.  The six member organizations are Charleston Transitional Facility, New Hope Center, Park Lawn Association, Sertoma Centre, SouthSTAR Services and Southwest Community Services.  


 


Position Overview


The CEO will provide strategic leadership for the development of the organization by working with the Board and other personnel to identify strategies, plans, and policies to develop business functions to achieve the most efficient use of business resources, resulting in its member organizations delivering high quality person centered services in their community.  The CEO will be responsible for the overall leadership of a start-up organization with many opportunities for growth and enhancement.  The position will be based in Mokena, Illinois but will require extensive local travel.


 


Qualifications


A minimum of five years of progressive management in a nonprofit environment.  Financial management experience and ability to negotiate business agreements are critical.  It is preferred to have someone with familiarity with human services.  The preferred candidate will have a Masters Degree in business, public administration, social work or related field.
